10. Does my age affect weight loss?
Yes, age does play a factor in the matter of both weight loss/gain. The body's metabolism is a chemical process in the body by which energy is provided in useful forms and vital activities can be easily sustained. As we age our body's metabolism declines meaning calories will be burned at a slower rate.
However there are ways to slow down and counter act the deterioration of our metabolism. Eating sensibly on a nutritional program and being active is the best way to counter the slowdown of your metabolism.But beware: many people will blame a slow down in metabolism for weight gain when in actual fact it is a general decrease in activity that is often to blame!
