Ten Foundation
Secrets For A Flawless Complexion
1. When choosing the perfect foundation for a natural look, test several shades along the jaw line. The colour that matches you best will be the one which blends in with your skin tone.
2. For longer lasting flawless coverage, begin by applying moisturizer to create a base for the foundation. This prevents dry skin from soaking up the foundation. However, for oily skin be sure to use an oil free moisturizer and opt for a powder foundation.
3.To apply the foundation spread it on your hands and firmly pat it onto your face. For finishing touches use a sponge to smooth it out, but be sure not to pull or stretch the skin, especially at delicate areas e.g. around the eyes. Be sure to include foundation on the eyelids and lips for an all round flawless complexion.
4. In hot climates it can be difficult to keep that flawless complexion looking fresh. Use a brush to lightly dust on a sheer layer of loose powder to set the foundation, then throughout the day do regular touch ups.
5. To
conceal imperfections, first apply a concealer over the troubled spots, leave to set, then apply your foundation over the top. A green colour can be used as a primer for the concealer as it helps neutralize the redness.
For other noticeable imperfections such as dark circles and
birthmarks use a concealer with yellow undertones. Be careful not to cover the area with a thick coat as this will only draw attention to it.
6.
After applying foundation be sure there is no line created around the jaw line, to avoid this apply a small amount of moisturizer to blend the make up from your jaw line to the neck.
7.
For a healthy glow in the evening mix a shimmer powder with a foundation powder and gently sweep the brush over the
bridge of the nose, underneath the brow bone, the temples,
cheekbone, chin and shoulders, where the sun light would naturally hit.
8.Be sure to apply a moisturizer or foundation with at least an SPF 15 to prevent future sun damage.
9. Remember to update your shade of foundation as skin tones may change.
10.
Finally once you have applied the foundation, see your finished look near a window to be sure it looks natural, flawless and ready to wear.
