What's
Hot in Summer 2007
We
recently had our Image Insights Evening where
we covered the trends for the new season. Here are the top ten looks for this season for those of you who missed it:
1.
Dresses
Every
style imaginable from ultra short, mini, knee
and maxi dresses. Hemlines can either be ultra short or long, and the dress shapes that are in
style are smocked, trapeze, empire, shift,
drop waisted and the wrap dress. The most universally
flattering dress is the wrap dress and there
is one out there that suits you.
2.
Futurist
The
Futurist trend means space odyssey 60's retro,
storm trooper, or patent plastic and leather. The most realistic way of wearing this look is by wearing it in an accessory
or on a trim on clothing.
3.
Metallics
Think
gold, silver, shimmer, shine and sparkle for
Metallics. Remember your colourings - if you are cool, stick with silver and if you are
warm, stick with gold. Satin and shine tends to add bulk so be careful where you place it.

4.
Romantic Looks
The
Romantic look means soft layers, florals, soft
colours, bows and laces. Fabrics such as jersey, chiffon and other drapeable fabrics tends to make this
a practical style for most people to wear.
5.
Folkloric
Folkloric
styling is traditional with paisley border
prints and peasant necklines. This can be a tricky style to wear so make sure that the size of the pattern
suits your body scale. Also, this style usually comes in a one-size-fits-all, so it can make you look
bigger if it's in a crisper fabric.

6.
Slouch Looks
The
Slouch Look is easy jersey dressing and soft
casual oversizing styles. This is a great look on tall people with long bodies.
7.
Luxury Sport
This
is a sophisticated sport look in luxury glamorous
fabrics. It is a great alternative to dresses and this look uses satins and metallic
futuristic fabrics, as well as neon brights.

8.
Bold Prints
Bold
Prints are patterns in oversized abstract and
organic imagery. Remember that high contrast patterns are best on Winter & Spring colourings. Autumn & Summer's should go for low contrast patterns.

9.
Neon Brights
Think
dazzling colour and clashing colour mixes. This style looks great with black for a bold retro look, and is best accessorized
using a neon bangle, belt or bag.

10.
80's Body Conscious
Not
for the faint hearted or less than perfect
body! This style is all about cling, fit and glamour!

We've
finally tracked down the perfect Control

but most importantly, is soft and comfortable
to wear (Even here in the tropics of Singapore!). It's available here at Nutri-Style so come and have a look!
Look
Amazing this Summer
Living
in Singapore can make you totally unaware
of what's happening worldwide in terms of
seasons, so here are a few tips on how to
look up to date and glowing.
A
Flawless Face
Warm
up your foundation by applying a light sweep
of bronzer instead of pressed powder
Refresh
your complexion and get rid of excess shine
during the day by using blotting sheets which
are readily available at Watsons and Guardians.
Nails
Keep
them nude - sheer, shimmery beige colours
disguises chips so you can spend more time
next to the pool than in the nail salons!
Hair
If
you regularly pull your hair up during the day, try putting a leave-in conditioner
in. It will condition and nourish your hair leaving it soft and silky.
Get
a hair cut that's easy to maintain. Keep short hair off the neck to keep you cool and add layers if your hair is
long to free up weight.
Lighten
and lift your hair with colour. Colour will give a shiny healthy boost to your hair and will also smooth out
the hair and remove frizz.
Body
Exfoliate
for silky soft skin- a wet flannel with moisturising
body wash will cleanse, exfoliate and hydrate
your skin all at once.
Great

This
month's great find is The Marmalade Pantry

healthy delicious meals - we can personally
recommend the falafel wrap with tahini dressing!
Marmalade
