The Magic of Colours
What
is the first thing people notice about us when they first meet
us? Psychologists have determined that its all about the colour
you’re wearing. Doesn’t it make sense then that we wear colours that make us look our best?
Wearing our best range of colours makes us look healthier, younger, more vibrant
and more energetic. Wearing
colours which do not suit us make us look tired and older than we are.
Many people are scared to get their colour analysis done because they think
they’ll
be told they cannot wear colours they really like. In fact everyone can wear
most colours; it’s the tint, tone or shade of that colour that needs to be carefully chosen.
The colours you wear send a message, whether you are aware of it or not. When
you walk into a room and it’s
painted an icy blue colour, don’t you automatically feel cold? Take for example a lady who wears a vibrant red
suit – people assume she is very confident, outgoing and even exciting. That is because
the red colour sends a message. If this same lady was wearing a navy suit,
she would send a very different message.
Of equal importance as colour is the level of contrast you wear. Low contrast
combinations should never be used when you want to command respect or grab
attention. But low contrast dressing is very elegant.
Learn how to use colour to your advantage by getting a professional
colour analysis with a qualified image consultant and have fun along the way.
