6. Will I still be able to socialise and eat out on the weight loss plan?
Eating out is very easy and popular in Singapore where there is a vast selection of restaurants and cuisines. It is possible to survive the weight loss plan and to have a social life. With the guidance you are given from "The Coach Approach", you will be in control and not be filled with panic and angst when dining out with friends.
Planning ahead and looking at the restaurant’s menu online, or calling them for a copy of the menu will help you think ahead about what choice of dishes will be the healthiest and most suitable for you. With the menu, go for the grilled, poached and steamed options and always ask for the dressings to be served at the side. Good choices for desserts are sorbets or fruits, but always leave about 20 minutes for your food to digest before ordering to see if you really are still hungry!
Also, having a light, healthy snack before you go out will take the edge off hunger and stop you from emptying the bread basket before you even order. Whilst drinking alcohol is not banned on the weight loss plan you should remember that alcoholic drinks are high in calories and significantly reduce your willpower to eat healthily! It is advised to have a big glass of water in between each glass of wine, or enjoy a wine spritzer, with soda or low calorie tonic, instead.
